Mount Abu is a most popular and attractive tourist place of the Rajasthan state in India. Mount Abu is a very large beautiful hill station, that is the part of the Aravalli hills. Mount Abu is located in Sirohi district of Rajasthan state in western India. Mount Abu is near by the Gujarat border.
The mountain forms a distinct rocky plateau 23 km long by 10 km wide. The highest peak on the mountain is Guru Shikhar at 1,722 m (5,650 ft) above sea level. It is referred to as ‘an oasis in the desert’ as its heights are home to rivers, lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forests. Nearest Railway station is Abu Road Railway station which is 27 km away. Mount Abu is the very cool place, winter session Nov to March temperature is very low. One of the most beautiful and popular palace situated in mount Abu called Dilwara Jain Temple.

One can get quite a crick in the neck staring up at those gorgeous chandelier designs on the ceilings! Unfortunately, photography is not allowed inside the temple and you have to be content with memories and bad quality picture postcards.
