Visakhapatnam (Vizag) is a beautiful coastal town in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the largest commercial hubs in Andhra Pradesh, the largest seaport of India and the oldest shipyard.

Here are some places tourists can visit in Visakhapatnam.

Andhra University

Andhra University is one of the oldest universities in India. It is noticeable for its massive stone building in the hilly area of Waltair. This university was founded in 1926.

Visit this new place with your family and friends, where spread over 450 acres of land are exotic species of birds and animals in their natural habitat.

The Three Hillocks

This place was formed by cutting a mount in the Eastern Ghats and represent the three regions.

They have a Roman Catholic chapel Dargakonda, a mosque and the third hillock with a Venkateswara temple.

Araku Valley

Araku Valley is known for its scenic beauty and is a quick gateway for busy city people. This place is known for its pretty valleys and tunnels. One can book their rooms at APTDC which have been recently constructed. Padmavathi botanical garden is worth visiting.
