When to Visit
You can visit Sipahijola Wildlife Sanctuary through the year depending on your convenience. However, the best time to explore the transitory creatures is during winter season. Visiting this place during November to January will not only feel you an amiable winter here, but the long trekking will not make feel you weary as well.

Abasarika is a forest Dak bungalow located near the zoon, lake and garden areas. There are five cabins covered under Dak bungalow specifically meant for the convenience of the visitors. There could be nothing better than getting an accommodation like Abasarika in the midst of the bush. However, tourists need a prior booking to avail the facilities at Dak bungalow.
A trip to Sipahijola will consume a day of yours. Hence, people who are not willing to book the Dak bungalow, must carry some food items and water with them. Staying here after dark is not permissible. Hence, while coming back from Sipahijola you can stay in any nearby hotels or guest house in Bishalgarh. Alternatively, you may travel up to Udaipur, which is merely 31 kms away from Bishalgarh. In Udaipur you will find some good accommodations for night-long stay. If you are travelling to the capital city, then numbers of quality hotels are there for you in Agartala. Some of the names are Radha International, Hotel Welcome Palace, Hotel Amber and Hotel Rajdhani.
How to Reach
There are multiple ways to commute till Sipahijola. The capital city Agartala is well-connected to Guwahati via NH44. Hence, anyone planning to travel by road, they can travel via Guwahati, Shillong (Meghalaya), Silchar and Dharmanagar (Tripura-North). The distance chart is as follows:

If you are planning to visit by air, you can take a flight till Agartala Airport, which is well-connect to Guwahati and Kolkata via flight. From Agartala Aiport you can book a cab or private car to visit till Sipahijola. You can also take bus from Agartala.
Likewise other modes of transpiration, railway is also a convenient way to reach Agartala. Trains are there from Silchar, Kumarghat (160 kms) and Dharmanagar.
Mata Bari: If you happen to be in Sipahijola Wildlife Sanctuary, you may extend your trip to step into Tripura Sundari Mandir located in the southern part of the state. Commonly known as Mata Bari, the temple is located 4kms south of Udaipur, which witnesses frequent footfall of devotes every day. From Sipahijola, driving distance till Udaipur is around 20 miles. As per Hindu mythological tale, the right leg of Sati was dropped on this location, based on which the place turned to a scared destination for devotes.
