Kanyakumari derives its name from virgin goddess Kumara Amman and is situated in the state of Tamil Nadu, in the southernmost tip of the Indian sub-continent. The serene beauty of the place and the spectacles of sunset and sunrise attract lakhs of tourists round the year. The best view of sunset is visible from October 15- March 15 from the southern tips. You can enjoy sunset and moonrise almost simultaneously on full moon days from the same spot. This is a unique spectacle in itself.
