Travel to the Quiet Hill Station of Madikeri

Madikeri, a quiet hill station is located in the Coorg district of Karnataka. It is a favorite gateway for tourists who want to rejuvenate over the weekend. It is situated 1170 meters above sea level.

This place was the capital of Kodagu King Mudduraja in 1681. Madikeri is known for its coffee and oranges. The people here are said to be the descendants of soldiers of Alexander the Great who invaded India in 327 BC.
