How to Travel to Koraput

By Air  

The nearest airport is in Vishakhapatnam. It is a major port city and is well connected by flight to major cities of India.

By Rail 

The 18447/8 Hirakhand Express plies daily between Bhubaneswar and Koraput.

Be sure to book you tickets in advance to avoid the tourists season rush.

By Road 

Koraput is connected by good motorable roads to all places in India.

There are many bus services plying to and fro from this place.

There are buses every 30 minutes to Jeypore (Rs.20, journey time: 40 minutes) and services to Rayagada (Rs.70 to Rs.100, journey time: three hours), Sambalpur (Rs.260, journey time: eight hours; buses leave at 3pm) and Bhubaneswar (Rs.470, journey time: 12 hours; buses leave at 5pm, 5.45pm, 6.15pm and 7.15pm). Fares to Bhubaneswar increase by Rs.100 for AC buses.
